"When our SCC’s were going over 250,000 we were getting very concerned.
Whatever we tried to do to reduce the SCC’s it just was not working, so we went to a
Genus ABS meeting where SOP had been talked about and decided to give it a go...
the results have been great.
1. Its taken the pressure off the staff as when the SCC is going up it creates difficulties
for individual members of staff.
2. Using SOP has given us peace of mind.
3. Has given us a financial benefit of £23 per cow over the last 5 months because of
reduced SCC.
It is easy to apply.
We shall be using it again in the cubicles as soon as the cows come in for the winter."
